Sushi Lesson - Sunday 27th Jan 2013 from 1 to 5 pm

4 hours workshopcovering all aspects to enable students to make good sushi at home for themselves. All materials are provide, though you may wish to bring a tea towel, small flannel and an apron. If you do have a sushi knife or a knife which you would like me check for suitability please bring it along. We usualyy have basic sushi knives and all the other ingredients for you to buy on the day when you are eligible for 10% discount. Topic Covered: Sushi rice- the types of rice, washing, cooking. and turning into sushi rice Basic sushi handling & practice - Inari pockets Slicing fish Nigiri sushi- demonstration & practice making king prawn & salmon nigiri sushi Temaki sushi- demonstration & practice making hand roll cones. Hosomaki- demonstration & practice making vegetable roll and salmon roll,cutting and presentation of the rolls. Inside out sushi- demonstration and practice3 making king prawn & avocado rolls. Gunkan sushi- demonstration & practice making fish egg sushi Question & Answer session.
