The Oki-Nami Japanese restaurant was first based in Hove for thirteen years before this year moving to its new home in the heart of Brighton at 6 New Road next to the Theatre Royal. A clean, simple welcoming interior design contrasts contemporary minimalist styling with period Regency features of the listed building.

Now co-owned by leading Japanese Chef Mike Dodd and DJ Norman Cook, Okinami offers an authentic Japanese culinary experience based around two fundamental principals – the quality and freshness of ingredients.

Oki-Bar

The Oki-Bar is located on the first floor above the restaurant at 6 New Road Brighton. Modern, stylish and intimate, the Oki-Bar specialises in original sake based cocktail creations alongside traditional favourites. An excellent selection of wines, sake and shochu as well as tapas dishes are also available. Relax to an eclectic musical soundtrack in the bar or unwind on the balcony with views overlooking the Pavilion gardens. Available for private hire.
